Chapter 1.

Once upon a time there were two beautiful people and one day they met each other...


We met on a beautiful day in midtown Detroit, at the intersection of Second and Forest. We've been together ever since, and each day has been a new adventure. Whether we're taking a leisurely stroll through the park or sharing a romantic dinner, our love continues to grow stronger and more vibrant with each passing moment.


 

Chapter 11.

The- Sparkle-Moment

It was a cold and snowy evening when we found ourselves huddled on the couch with Tim's sister, watching movies and laughing until the wee hours of the morning. But as the night drew to a close and it was time for me to head home, I couldn't bring myself to leave. So, I lied and told that the roads were slick with ice so Tim asked me to stay... It was the-Sparkle-Moment night that I will never forget, the one that cemented our love and solidified our bond.

Chapter 111.

"Will you Marry me?"

It was New Year’s Eve... The final scenes of "It's a Wonderful Life" played out on the screen. With perfect timing, Tim paused the movie at the stroke of midnight and asked if I'd like to watch the deleted scenes. I said "yeah" and suddenly he got down on one knee (did it very poorly but so adorable!)and with George Bailey's voice he asked me to marry him!

Chapter 1v.

The Wedding

We love camping and have been camping in Metamora before, so when my mom suggested the White Horse Inn we fell in love! After seeing the venue I knew that was the place we were to become husband and wife.

I wanted a boho/fall style wedding with lots of pompas grass and amber colored vases.

My dress was a love at first sight!


I saw it and fell so in love with it (just like Tim).

Megan: Sheldon was my very cute guitar teacher, for my birthday my mom paid for me to get guitar lessons and the rest is history (although I don’t know how to play the guitar after all these years together).



 

Chapter 11.


What makes you a perfect couple?

Sheldon and I are basically the same person, and having someone have the same thought at the same time as you is very funny and special at the same time. Being able to laugh to the point of tears over something simple together, to have your significant other be your best friend is the greatest thing in life.

Chapter 111.


Will you marry me?

Sheldon and I were in our favorite coffee shop when we had to cancel our trip to Italy due to the pandemic. Sheldon and I were playing connect four, when Sheldon dropped several pieces on the floor when he dropped down to pick them up, he dropped down on one knee to ask me the big question.

Chapter 1v.


The Wedding


Since we got engaged right as the world shut down, there was only wedding planning to do!

Sheldon and I enjoy simple elegance, with a touch of bling, and our favorite color is blue so we combined all of these things, and with help from Pinterest, we had a goal for the wedding.



As for two students trying to pay for a wedding themselves, we looked into venues that were able to provide more bang for their buck, which is why Hunt Valley was the perfect place for us, where we didn’t have to compromise looks for affordability.


Since our wedding was in November, I knew I wanted a long sleeved dress but something with more flare and not so traditional.

I’ve always been in love with open backed dresses, so when I tried my dress on for the first time I knew it was the one for me once I started shimming in it.

Seeing everything come together!

I had been wedding planning for the majority of two years and did almost everything by myself, so to see something that I’ve only seen in my head become a reality was very satisfying.

Chapter 1.

Once upon a time there were two beautiful people and one day they met each other...


Stacy: We met during the celebration of the life of my uncle. In Jamaica, we went to bury my uncle and Shaun was one of the musicians playing. I saw him and kept staring all night (he will tell that he was the one who saw me first, lol).


He was so handsome and the way he played the keyboard was so passionate. I stayed until he was able to take a break. We talked in his car until about 6 or 7a.




 

Chapter 2.

The-Sparkle-Moment


It was the very night we met.

I didn't realize it then but that night was the foundation of the Stacy-and-Shaun saga.

Chapter 3.

Will you Marry Me?


Shaun knew that I wanted us to do a photoshoot together. He planned the whole date. I just knew the day, time, location and dresscode. We got to the park and the photographer got to work. After multiple pictures in different areas of the park, we came up to the largest tree in the park. The photographer asked to take solo pictures of just me. She told me where to face and how to position myself. She then told me to look over my right shoulder, I did and I glanced down. Shaun was on one knee with the open ring box in his hand. After a few words he popped the question...and of course I said yes!

Chapter4.

The Wedding.

At first we were thinking about a destination wedding in Jamaica. But for the amount of guests it was getting too expensive. We found an all-inclusive venue which was absolutely gorgeous.

Food, alcohol, cake, tables, and chairs included.

So a lot of the work was already done for us. The people were friendly and easy to work with.

As for my dress I kinda knew what I wanted who the designer would be from 2018. The designer is Lena Berisha. I fell in love with her skirt design, the layered ruffles was just super gorgeous. I went to try on different dresses but nothing gave me the excitement that Lena's dress brought me. I found out that her location was overseas so I wouldn't see or try on the dress before purchasing, but I didn't care. I spoke with the consultant I make tweaks and suggestions on how I wanted to the dress to look. They really came through, I'm still in love with the dress now.

For Stacy: "entering into the reception, mainly because it felt like the stress of the wedding was over and now it was just time for fun and enjoyment"
